At Airtel-Vodafone, we recognise the importance of supporting and educating the community we operate in. We’re building our profile within the Jersey and Guernsey communities by actively promoting initiatives which we believe to be of benefit to our society, and in the future we aim to continue to build upon these.
Some of the campaigns that we’re currently supporting include the States of Jersey Police Department’s ‘Hands-Off’ campaign, which promotes safe and responsible driving. We also support a number of initiatives which help to bring communities together.
For example, we’ve teamed up with Channel 103 FM in Jersey and Island FM in Guernsey in the ‘Parish Promotion’. This celebrates island life and the importance of parish life and we’re proud to have brought parishioners together to pit their wits against each other in the monthly parish pub quiz. We’ve also helped to organise and support youth nights at the Chambers venue in Jersey.
Local businesses are supported through advertising and sponsorship, such as Jersey Bowl and The Living Legend. Most recently, we were the main sponsor for ‘Alderney Week’ and provided support for the activities that were offered during this week.
