Mens and Ladies Beach Volleyball

The beach tournament season is here, and it’s time for you to get involved.

The entry form is at the bottom of this page. Just print one out for each tournament and sign up for the usual great atmosphere, music, lovely weather (hopefully) and fun at the Gunsite, St Aubin’s Bay.

As the tournament’s sponsor, Airtel-Vodafone, we have launched a special deal which will help raise money for the Jersey Volleyball Association (JVA), as well as supplying prizes and goodie bags for players.

What’s different this year?
As usual there will be mixed 4s and men’s and ladies’ 4s and 2s competitions. But like last year we will be running two events in parallel for different levels of ability: the ‘Not So Pro Volleyball Cup’ and the ‘The In It To Win It Volleyball Cup’. Both cups will run on Saturdays, leaving Sundays for a King / Queen of the Beach tournament.

Who should enter the Not So Pro Volleyball Cup?
It’s ideal for groups of up to six friends and colleagues who want to enjoy themselves, but have no experience of volleyball. The main aim’s to have fun, and there are prizes for the team with the best fancy dress and the best spirit, as well as for the winners – there is an element of competition.

Who should enter the In It To Win It Volleyball Cup?
It’s perfect for teams of up to six seasoned league or beach players who know the game and want slightly more competitive beach volleyball. The emphasis will still be on fun, but players should have some experience.

What are the King and Queen of the Beach tournaments?
On Saturdays you will have a full day of matches with your team. On Sundays you will play each game with different people every time. You will get points each time you play and, at the end of the tournament, the players with the most points will be crowned King and Queen of the Beach. Everyone who plays on Saturday will automatically be able to play on Sunday for free.

When will they be taking place?
